The Research and Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation (Chairman Kang Byung-sam) held a briefing session (IR) to attract investment from innovative start-ups in Honam region at Jeonbuk Tech Biz Center on the 30th.

The event was jointly organized to link the investment ecosystem of Gwangju Special Zone, Jeonbuk Special Zone, and Naju Gangso Special Zone in the Honam region and expand opportunities for promising companies to attract investment.

It invited 10 investment institutions with investment resources such as POSCO Technology Investment and Smilegate Investment to link the investment attraction. They reviewed IR pitching of 8 promising companies and conducted investment possibility review and consulting through 1:1 consultation with companies.

The Special Zone Foundation will conduct additional investment attraction consulting for participating companies based on the review opinions of investment institutions and closely support the success of companies through continuous linkage such as follow-up meetings with investors.

Investment IR in the Honam region was held twice last year. A total of 18 companies and 21 investors participated, and after IR, follow-up mentoring and investor linkage were supported to create 3.7 billion won in investment attraction for four companies.

The foundation plans to continue to promote events to introduce excellent special zone companies to investors in the Honam region, and further create synergy in attracting investment by linking specialized fields in each special zone through joint investment IR.

Chairman Kang Byung-sam said, "The joint investment IR between special zones, which links the know-how to attract investment in individual special zones, will greatly help local companies attract investment."
