 AI-based disaster safety monitoring system recognized for its originality and innovation

(Gwangju = International News) reporter Ryu Yeon-sun = ENITT (CEO Ki Song-do) announced on the 11th that it was selected as the "National Innovation Company 1000" jointly selected by nine ministries, including the Financial Services Commission, on May 6, 2021.The "National Innovation Company 1000" is a system in which nine ministries, including the Financial Services Commission, jointly select a total of 1,000 companies to lead each industry throughout the innovative growth industry by 2022.ENITT Co., Ltd. was selected as the national 1,000 innovative companies in the information and communication sector in recognition of the originality and innovation of AI-based disaster safety monitoring systems in the third screening process.An official from the Ministry of Science and ICT said, "ENITT's selection of 'innovative company national 1000' is the result of recognizing the value of successful commercialization of its representative product, 'AI-based optical fiber sound sensor safety monitoring system (DAS)."In December 2020, ENITT Co., Ltd. established and applied a DAS system for disaster safety monitoring through the "Smart Management System Establishment Project in Underground Gangdong-gu, Gwangju." Through the artificial intelligence safety management system installed in a total of 4.8km section, abnormal situations in the common area such as structure collapse, fire, and unauthorized entry and exit can be checked in real time.It is the first case in Korea that a safety management monitoring system applied with artificial intelligence technology is applied to actual infrastructure, and it is the first case of commercialization of technology developed by a domestic company, not a foreign solution.CEO Ki Song-do said in an interview, "I'm really happy that the selection of the national team of innovative companies has recognized the first commercialization of AI safety monitoring services in Korea. "We will take the lead in the government's digital new deal policy, focusing on DAS technology that can be used for safety monitoring of infrastructure such as railways, pipelines, bridges, and airport runways, and promote the power of 'Made in Korea' to the world."With the selection of innovative companies, ENITT Co., Ltd. will receive active policy financial support, management and financial management know-how, and non-financial support such as business infrastructure through policy financial institutions in the future.
