(Nuri Ilbo) The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy held the opening ceremony of the '2023 International Optical Convergence Expo' at KINTEX in Ilsan on June 21. 'International Optical Convergence Expo' is the largest optical convergence industry exhibition in Korea, which celebrates its 21st this year, with about 160 companies and organizations participating, and about 700 overseas buyers from 20 countries invited.
This event will be held for three days from June 21st to the 23rd, an exhibition to showcase the technology of our optical convergence industry, an online/offline export consultation to support overseas market development, and an exhibition to share the latest trends in the industry and discuss business strategies between companies. Industry forums are also held.
Meanwhile, the opening ceremony was attended by around 70 people, including National Assembly member Kim Seong-won and Minister of Industry and Trade, Yong-pil Yong-pil, and the government awards for new and excellent technology companies in the field of optical convergence and commendations for those who have contributed to industrial development were also held.
In his congratulatory speech, Lee Yong-pil, director general of high-tech industry policy at the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, emphasized the importance of the optical convergence industry, which is a basic technology for the realization of the high-tech industry, and announced that the government would spare no support for the new leap forward of the optical convergence industry.
