The Busan Center for Creative Economy and Innovation has started to support digital innovation startups through the "Digital Transformation Challenge" project, which is being promoted as part of a collaboration project in the southeastern region.

Digital transformation means innovating the existing traditional corporate operation methods and services by utilizing information and communication technology (ICT) platforms such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT).

Five centers, including the Busan Center, Ulsan, Gyeongnam, Pohang, and Bitgaram, are trying to co-discover and foster 10 startups in this field through collaboration with partners matched with each center and open innovation to lead the local start-up ecosystem.

The company selected for this DT challenge project is △ Robo Protection (CEO Kang Young-gu) △ Musuma Co., Ltd. (CEO Shin Sung-il) △ Advanced RCS Co., Ltd. (CEO Koo Jung-mo) △ Conners Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Dong-oh) △ Able Soft Co., Ltd. (CEO Jeong Min-kwon) △ Toz Co., Ltd. (CEO Seo Kwang-hoon) △ ICEN Lab (CEO Choi Yong-sam) △Hirobotics Co., Ltd. (CEO Koo Ik-mo) △ Enit Co., Ltd. (CEO Cho Chang-hee) △ T-bell Co., Ltd. (CEO Kim Jong-kyun) There are ten places.

These companies also promoted open innovation with partner companies at each center through participation in the DT Round Table, a startup event organized by Busan, Ulsan and Gyeongnam centers.

At the DT Round Table event held by the Busan Center in conjunction with the 2020 BSW Bounce, panel discussions between Lotte, Hyundai Heavy Industries, Doosan Heavy Industries, POSCO, and Korea Electric Power Corporation were held to share cases of collaboration and open innovation with the center.

Gyeongnam Center operated online and offline IR pitching and booths of 10 selected companies through the Mega City Idea Tech Show in the southeast, while Ulsan Center provided an opportunity to explore the possibility of practical collaboration through IR pitching of five excellent companies and demand matching meetings with partners.

In addition, they will accelerate their business advancement by receiving 16 million won in commercialization funds and accelerating programs for the rest of the year.
