The Gwangju artificial intelligence (AI) market is heating up little by little. This is because AI companies in the Seoul metropolitan area are continuing to go to Gwangju, and more and more investors are willing to invest in AI companies in Gwangju.

The "Gwangju Artificial Intelligence Investment Induction Briefing (IR)" was held for two days from the 29th, which examines each artificial intelligence startup's technology and vision and provides 1:1 consultation time with investors. The IR is an event jointly organized by three related organizations in the region, including Techno Park, the Artificial Intelligence Industry Convergence Project Group, and the Information and Culture Industry Promotion Agency, and Accentree Ventures, a private accelerator. 29 AI companies and 23 investment companies participated.

Jetta Bank, Detour Resources, Ho Green Air, Ghost Pass, Exosphere Labs, IntFlow, Aegis Logic, Wires, Flyleaf, and Lazen participated as companies selected by the Artificial Intelligence Industry Convergence Project Group. At Gwangju Techno Park, Rowan, Blue Eye, B.A. Energy, ENITTT, Join Tree, Niwat, Dongjin Enterprise, Caplix, and Crocus participated. At Accentree Ventures, Ait, Megaworks, Emotional Tech, Mayubi, Invis, Tendum, AI Systems, Korea Digital Payments, and Peopet attended.

On the morning of the 30th, I visited the Holiday Inn Hotel conference hall where IR will be held. In addition to Gwangju-based companies, companies from Seoul, Busan and Incheon were also seen. They divided themselves into groups of five and gave a presentation for 10 minutes. Corporate representatives made speeches based on data containing their own originality, specialized technology, sales status, business strategies and visions, drawing attention from investors.

After about 50 minutes of presentation, a 20-minute question-and-answer session for five companies continued. Sitting at the table, three or four people listened to the announcement by corporate representatives, and asked interested companies. Investors asked about product cost competitiveness or profitability strategies. He also asked about differentiation from other companies with similar technologies. As questions continued, IR field staff were busy handing over microphones to investors raising their hands here and there.
